Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of LogCentral (the "Service"), offered by SAS GDH ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using LogCentral, you agree to these Terms. If you do not accept any part of these Terms, you must not use our Service.
Definitions
- "Service": The cloud-based log storage solution called "LogCentral," accessible at https://logcentral.io
- "Organizations": Entities that customers create in the Service. Each Organization can have multiple Locations associated with it
- "Locations": Individual endpoints within an Organization that receive a dedicated IP address and port for log collection
- "Plan": A subscription tier that determines data ingestion limits, retention periods, features, and pricing
- "You" or "Customer": The legal entity that registers for an account and accesses the Service for business or organizational purposes
Subscription Plans & Payment
Plan Requirements
- Each Organization you create must be on a valid Plan to ingest and store logs
- Available Plans set your daily or monthly data ingestion limit, storage retention duration, user seat limits, and other feature entitlements
Types of Plans
- Monthly: Billed in advance on a monthly basis
- Yearly: Billed in advance on an annual basis (often at a discounted rate)
Plan Changes & Refunds
- Upgrades: You can upgrade your Plan at any time. Upgraded fees may be prorated
- Downgrades: Downgrades are allowed only if your total ingested data and feature usage comply with the new Plan's limits
- No Refunds: We do not provide refunds for any unused portion of your subscription
Use of Service & Responsibilities
Allowed Use
The Service is designed for storing, analyzing, and retrieving technical logs (e.g., syslogs) sent from your network devices or applications.
Data & Log Responsibility
- Your Ownership: You retain ownership over the logs you submit
- Accuracy & Legality: You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and compliance of logs with applicable data protection laws
- Minimizing Personal Data: We strongly advise you to avoid or minimize sending personal data in your logs
Data Retention & Storage
- We store logs on "hot" storage for a short initial period before transferring them to "cold" or archival storage
- Logs beyond the retention period are irreversibly deleted from our systems
- Deleting a location or organization results in the irreversible deletion of stored logs and data
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Paris, France.
