With our integration, setup is completed from LogCentral in a few clicks—no Meraki Dashboard changes required. We provision dedicated syslog targets per location and configure the relevant roles and destinations via the Meraki API.

Which Meraki log types are supported?

All roles/streams are supported. Typical ones include flows, security events, URLs, wireless, appliance, switch, and Systems Manager logs.

What transport and security are supported?

UDP is supported today with dedicated ports per location. TLS syslog is coming soon.

How should I size throughput and retention?

Accepted Answer

With LogCentral you can change plans easily; storage and retention are managed for you. Running your own log server usually requires capacity planning for hardware, storage, and peak EPS.

Where are the syslog settings in the Meraki Dashboard?

Accepted Answer

Not required when using the LogCentral integration. If you need to review them, go to Organization → Configure → Syslog servers (or Network-wide → General → Reporting → Syslog servers).
